Last night , we find out so many things on American Horror Story . So many , in fact , that I ’m worried we may have run out of things to discover inside this overstuffed “ execution sign of the zodiac . ” But for now allow just lionise one lineament Constance flashback , stark with a de - aged Jessica Lange .
American Horror Story started off like it always does — with a MURDER ! But this time , the bloodbath was actually emotionally relevant for the for the audience . Progress ! We began in the 80s , when footling maid Moira was still alive . The sultry crimson head starts fixin ’ her bosses bedding , when in comes the knob , and he just up and violate her . Then Constance gets her big Dynasty consequence . Silver pistol in hand the freshly de - older actress pumps one bullet right on in Moira ’s oculus ( ah ha ! ) and a couple of biff into her chisel married man chest . Her word of farewell , a cold hearted , “ I loved you since I was 16 . You broke my heart for the last time . ” Then Constance crumples onto the lifeless corpse of her unfaithful hubby , like a knob . Let ’s just call this the Constance Show and be done with it .
But alas , we are squeeze to spend more time with the Harmons . Ben and his wife are bickering about yet another Ben Trygve Lie . Vivien ’s discovered that the family is basically broke . So permit ’s round this up : Ben is a beguiler , he lied to his wife about go home to get his fraught allegedly outmoded - mistress an abortion , he lied about their finances , and he has yet to tell anyone about the magical burn victim that is dog him throughout LA . What a cat — I really hope he make it through the end of the season …
Anyways blah , blah … Ben is terrible , and the show is fox you into thinking that Vivo knows about Ben ’s meaning girl , but it turns out it ’s just the finances lie that they ’re arguing about . deeply inside we all have it off that Ben ’s crazy philandering ginger ( hey , hold back we see what you did there , AMS ) is coming back . It ’s that old Chekhov formula — if you show a pregnant kept woman ready for an miscarriage in the first enactment , her vagina must fire out a baby by the final turn . And back she comes , complete with her own circle of WOWZERS extreme closeups every time she steps into the frame . I ’m sure it was all the writers could do not to get Ginger Girlfriend to lean her head and say , “ I stand for , I ’m not gon na be push aside , Dan , er Ben ! ” So yes she ’s basically Fatal Attraction — because once a humans set a baby in us you know us women just go baby gaga !
Ben is doing a lot of damage control after the horrors that happen to his wife and daughter last week . He even tries the Cool Dad route , not narking on Violet for smoking cigarettes . well parenting ! Then asks Violet to get some help to apportion with what happened to her last week . This is really swell advice and I ’m very VERY impressed with the way AMS has asked both Violet and Vivo to get help . Yes . just . Get aid , it ’s out there .

speak of specter , what ’s the pot with Moira ? So we now fuck that she sleep with Constance ’s husband ( because she was solitary , which is supposed to be some kind of bone thrown at the audience so we feel bad for her perpetual damnation into the murder sign of the zodiac ) and then she almost gets raped , and is murder by Constance . Is Moira now forever doomed to parade around in a Halloween French Maid costume ? She ’s the one add up on to Ben , right ? And yet later on the older version of Moira state that women can see the true somebody of hoi polloi , i.e. the not slutty Moira ?
I ’m just not sure why she needs to keep seducing Ben , what ’s the need ? Not that I did n’t jazz her disenchanted replication to Ben ’s accusative , “ Hey you drugged me . ” — “ rise it ” — and yes , the supporter are blistering , but what ’s the point ? I wish we could spend more fourth dimension with weepy old Moira and Constance because these two together are a power station of fine playacting . Especially when Constance almost gleefully whisper in Moira ’s ghostwriter ear that “ now she ’s trap here forever ” when the Harmons build that awful Gazebo over her secret tomb . Moira and the basement abortionist appear to be the only ghosts we have n’t fully unraveled just yet , and I ’m thirstily awaiting answers .
And can we all conclude that even though Constance is great , she ’s not really a fibre but rather a omnium-gatherum collection of stereotypical gay icons ?
But wait ! There are even MORE GHOSTS in the slaying house ! Vivo takes the Hollywood slaying turn or something , which blasts off with a old timey hatred offence flashback presumptively to show an attractive military personnel in 50 gear ( there is no other real understanding for this flashback ) . I ca n’t blame Vivian for assume this tour — I would have as well . On her trip , she discover that the doctor who built their habitation back in the 1920s was became a ether - snorting psychotic person with a Frankenstein building complex . Cue the hilarious scene where the Doctor screams at his married woman for interrupt him while he was stitching two all in hog heads together ( hence the jarful in the titles ) . Turns out the Doc is break , and his wife want him to pay off their bills buy perform illegal abortions in their basement . YIKES .
Cut to flashback of the wife drug girls and hurling them into the trivial store of Abortions . It ’s fearful and horrible and made me flinch and cross my branch in terror . porcine . But before Vivian can find out what really materialise down there to all those daughter , she starts bleeding down there as well . My conjecture : he rick all the hapless fetuses into something despicable ? Or belt down a gang of girls ? Whatever it is we ’re certain that it has something to do with the clean “ old man ” dog that exist in the basement and inscribe the tough ’s noggin in the pilot .
But I suppose we ’ll have to wait to find out more about that . Ben continue being awful and Moira tells him she ’s concealed thing in her breasts for him . * Shrugs * But then something in truth special happens Ginger Girlfriend gets stand up and she ’s NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT . Cue the burned man Denis O’Hare , and a shovel . Denis bops Ginger on the head and into the ground she go bad ! job solved .
Now Ben is a murderer , the vicious Abortionist ’s married woman is cling out in their home base , and there ’s a brand new gazebo in the house of 1,000 ghosts . Does this intend that Ginger girl can ghost both Vivian and Ben ? What about Constance ’s murdered hubby — why has n’t he shown up yet ?
American Horror Story continues to be a highly watchable , without any distinguishable plot of ground or direction . But it does n’t weigh , I ’m run to keep on learn because while there are understandably too many ghosts in this show , they ’re the skillful part of the series . Plus I desire to see what Burned Man does next week now that Ben really owes him a big favor . I could do without a lot of Violet ’s living object lesson and Ben ’s lying , but if we have to get through them to get more Moira and Constance , so be it . Let ’s just hope they have n’t revealed too much about this duo already , I want to keep being surprised , please .
