Nicholls State prof Todd Kennedy was enliven to plan the trend following Bourdain ’s end in June . Like many fans , he was affected by the red , and started reflecting on how successful Bourdain had been in seamlessly blend in lit , motion picture , travel , and solid food into his documentaries . He pitched a course called " Anthony Bourdain and His Influencers " for the outflow 2019 semester , which was quickly O.K. by the college .
" Almost every episode of Bourdain ’s shows directly reference and/or pay court to a major work of lit or film as he develop his own visual and narrative argument about refinement , politics , food , artistic creation , and the carrefour therein , " the category description reads .
