Very little is known plotwise about Captain America ’s subsequence , Captain America : The Winter Soldier . But we do experience that Steve Rogers will be interacting with a handful of classic Captain America reference , such as Bucky Barnes and the Falcon , played by Anthony Mackie . In a late interview with AICN , Mackie expose a few crucial details about the mod day version of this case . And oh yeah , he ’s gon na fly .
“ I will have wings . I will be able to take flight . I will be a superhero and contend people , namely The Winter Soldier … It was singular ; a set of the enquiry I found was online . My older brother was a huge laughable Quran buff . So when the news come up out online , he anticipate me and just gave me the whole rundown . Luckily , I have a lot of friends who were n’t cool growing up , but who are really nerveless now , so they take a lot of comic books . So I would just call and inquire them , and they would send me all of this stuff online , and I got to show a gang of the old comic books . It ’s rosy , because it ’s a take off the comic book , it ’s not the exactly storyline of the comic book . ”
The Falcon is a fly vigilante , who spent most of his earlier days protect Harlem . His special powers are his mechanical wings that allow him to vanish ( and shorten bad guy rope into tatters ) and telekinesis . When asked what he ’d learned about franchises thus far , Mackie dribble this clean strange petty choice morsel :
“ This is what I learned about franchise . They can always shed somebody else and say , ‘ Well that last individual died , ’ or just not address it . You see the second pic , and the guy is a unlike bozo than the first , and they ’re like , ‘ Yep , same dude to me . ' ”
Which sound like it ’s directed at Sebastian Stan , but that ’s not possible . Perhaps Mackie was just speaking generally of franchises . Shooting for the Falcon starts on April 1st — we ca n’t waitress to see the first shots of him in his wings !
