Disney’s Millennium Falcon Ride Will Take You on Different Adventures in the Future

Guests who are fortunate enough to visit Disney ’s make new paper parkland experience , Star Wars : Galaxy ’s Edge , will get to fly the Millennium Falcon on a audacious mission . And , if they make a retort visitsometime down the road , that mission may be different .

talk as part of a metier event this week at Disneyland in Anaheim , CA , one of the executives in thrill of the ride — which is called Millennium Falcon : Smuggler ’s Run — reveal the news .

“ We ’ve really taken keen care to design this as a flexible experience , ” said Asa Kalama , executive originative theatre director at Disney Imagineering . “ [ One ] that , over fourth dimension , as the stories of Star Wars proceed to grow and enlarge , that there are also really wonderful opportunities for all of you to potentially enjoy some next adventures as well . ”

This is both tidings and , candidly , not a surprise . When Disney refurbished its first Star Wars - themed ride , Star Tours , in 2011 , it also build that as a “ pliant experience . ” Since that time , the drive has change on numerousoccasions , first incorporate scenes from The Force Awakens , then The Last Jedi , and most late , a teaser stumble to Galaxy ’s boundary itself . And with more and more Star Wars movie come , locking Smuggler ’s Run into one tale would be fabulously short - sighted .

All that would have to be change is what happens inside the cockpit to make it a completely raw escapade .
