Ghost Cat is just one of those flick that ’s too bizarrely precious not to sleep together . Ellen Page is adjusting to life in a small town and dealing with the death of her momma . And then every 15 or 20 minutes , the specter of the numb cat Margaret has to interfere in the plot somehow — by alerting people to peril , by fret the faces of bad guys , or by knocking over catfood to reveal a long - forgotten closed book . The climax , in which the ghost quat takes out both bad guy by crash their car , is really amazing stuff . The epiccomes out on DVD later this calendar month .
