The Red Lotus may be far more powerful than any one of our admirer , but in this episode , we see how our hero may ultimately defeat Zaheer ’s mob .
Last week was a very Asami and Korra - profound episode , but this week a lot of our type got a chance to glow . With Ba Sing Se in topsy-turvyness , Bolin and Mako manage to steal an airship and get their Earth Kingdom family out of stratagem .

Tenzin is , in many way , the perfect person to father the fledgling nation . Aang was n’t a strong don fig , but Tenzin is , and it ’s indulge to see him posture in front of his fresh nation of Airbenders , not cringe , but calmly and confidently addressing Zaheer . And I dig that Zaheer , for all his violence - creating ism , is respectful and not cruel .
It ’s also nice to see that , even if the characters at the Northern Air Temple are n’t nearly a match for the Red Lotus , they are n’t being cave by uncertainty or piddling variance . The Aang family is unattackable than ever in the font of a more brawny opposition .
And it turns out that Kai ’s roguishness translate well to heroic turn . He care to slip away even under P’Li ’s ignite third oculus and flies off for aid .
The roster of help is a potent one . In addition to our core squad of Korra , Asami , Bolin , and Mako , we ’ve get Tonraq and the fireball duet that is Lin and Su . ( Could we also please get Varrick ’s electromagnet suit ? I demand to see that again . ) It ’s going to take a lot of hoi polloi to bring down the Red Lotus , but at least we ’ve spent the time of year building our team up to the height of their confidence in each other and their own abilities .
