The Bachelorstar, 27, and her NFL running back fiancé, 25, just recently packed up their place in Indiana to settle in Florida after Funk ended his time with the Indianapolis Colts to sign with the Miami Dolphins, last week. But just before they left, the pair made sure to capture some sweet new engagement photos.
“It’s been a whirlwind,” Sluss tells PEOPLE of life with Funk, whoproposed back in January. Since then, she’d been astaple at his gamesin Indiana. “It’s been awesome knowing that she’s there on the sidelines,” says Funk.
The couple and their dog Dash posed for a romantic engagement photo shoot in Indiana ahead of their move, and say despite all of the transitions right now, their relationship couldn’t be stronger. “He’s just a really good constant in my life,” says Sluss, “all the things you’d want in a man.”
For Sluss, who rose to fame as the winner of Peter Weber’s season ofThe Bachelorin 2019 before they split on camera months later, she knew early on that Funk was different. After he saw her on TikTok — “a modern love story,” she says — the football player made a great first impression.
“Our first date was at the Beverly Hills Hotel, which was like a dream,” she says. Both were living in Los Angeles then and “we had a great time, really got to know each other and things just kind of went from there.”
As far as wedding plans, “It’s going to be next year, next off-season,” says Sluss. “All the main things are booked up and we’re really excited. It’s going to be a destination wedding, at a place that’s really special to us.”
