There many , many contenders for “ most camptastic vampire moving picture of all time , ” and many of them hail from the tardy 1960s and seventies , when vampsploitation was vast . One of our particular favorites is Vampire Playmates , aka The Devil ’s Nightmare , aka Succubus .
Just check out the above sequence , in which the malefic vampire lady kill by : 1 ) Decapitating a guy wire with a guillotine ; 2 ) Causing a woman to slip up into an Iron Maiden , mayhap via telekinesis ; 3 ) Chasing a hombre around hall over and over again , advancing on him menacingly , only to toss him out a windowpane ; 4 ) commit a snake in the grass in a cleaning woman ’s seam .
She finally stumbles when she examine to seduce a Catholic priest by removing one bra strap and lighting a cigarette in the most ridiculous direction possible , but he resists and fly the coop outdoors to be confront her demonic master . Oh , and the theology in this picture show is passably intense — she seems very intent on killing people only when they ’re in a Department of State of “ deadly sin , ” so their souls go to her master .
