Julia Foxgoes into detail about her sex life in her new memoir — but not with her ex-boyfriendKanye West.
As Fox, 33, spoke withThe New York Timesabout her soon-to-be published bookDown the Drain, the actress and writer said she felt sex played an important role in her life story when she set out to write a memoir.
“I felt like it was the truth. Why not write it?” she said when asked whether she “always” knew she would include details of her sex life.
“I have this thing where, in my personal writing, I don’t go into as much detail as I could. I’m like: ‘This crazy thing happened. OK, moving on,’ " Fox said. “So I made it a point to put the reader in the room. I didn’t want to skip over things. So maybe some things aretoodetailed.”
When the outlet’s reporter noted that Fox abstained from describing sex with West, 46, whom shedated brieflyin early 2022, Fox said: “Because there, like, wasn’t any. It wasn’t really about that.”

TheUncut Gemsstar and West met in Miami on New Year’s Eve in 2021 and were together for fewer than two months, though they madered carpet appearancestogether during that time. The brief relationship came months after the rappersplit from his ex-wife Kim Kardashianin Feb. 2021. A source told PEOPLE on Valentine’s Day 2022 that Fox and West were “no longer together.”

“It’s like six pages,” she said of content mentioning the rapper and music producer. “I feel like I went very lightly on it. I’m not trying to have bad blood or anything, it’s all in the past.”

According to theTimes, Fox has changed many of the names of the people who appear in her book, though the character who is clearly West is dubbed “the artist.““I feel like I did a good job at disguising people as much as I could, but obviously people will know,” she said. “If anyone does get upset, I’m going to be very quick to remind them: ‘I went easy on you. I could have done more damage.’ "
