A man was tragically killed outside of the Baltimore Ravens football stadium over the weekend after he attempted to escape a porta potty that had lit up in flames.

The incident happened on Sunday outside of M&T Bank Stadium at approximately 3 p.m., Blair Skinner, a spokeswoman for the Baltimore City Fire Department,toldThe Baltimore Sun.

Both the Baltimore City Fire Department and the Baltimore Police Department reported to the scene as two more portable toilets went up in flames.

At this time, it is not clear what caused the fire or how long the man had been in the porta potty.

An investigation with the Baltimore Police Department is currently underway, Skinner toldThe Sun.

After successfully putting out the fires, the Baltimore City Fire Department posted about the incident on theirFacebook page, along with several photos from the scene.

“BCFD on scene in the 1100blk of Russell St. where an adult male was seen on fire coming from a Port A Potty. Upon arrival the adult male was pronounced deceased & three Port A Potties engulfed in flames. Cause U/I” the department wrote alongside the photos.
