Nearly 14 years afterMy Sister’s Keeperpremiered, the movie — which starsCameron Diaz,Alec BaldwinandAbigail Breslin— continues to maintain its popularity in pop culture.
My Sister’s Keeperwas released on June 26, 2009, and was based on Jodi Picoult’s novel of the same name. It follows the story of Anna Fitzgerald (Breslin), who was born as a genetic match for her older sister Kate (Sofia Vassilieva) who has leukemia. When Kate needs a kidney transplant, Anna’s parents, Brian (Jason Patric) and Sara (Diaz) turn to her for a donation, but she refuses and chooses to seek medical emancipation with the help of her lawyer, Campbell Alexander (Baldwin).
